[Photo: The Star]Results of DNA tests from the Government Chemist produced in court on Thursday revealed that televangelist Gilbert Deya and his wife Mary are not the biological parents of five children found in their house at Mountain View estate in Kangemi in 2004.According to the Star, a prosecution witness Tom Juma, who is also one of the investigating officers, told Milimani chief magistrate Francis Andayi the DNA results signed by Dr Rose Sikuku on August 30, 2005, shows only two children are theirs.The former officer, who was then attached to DCI Serious Crime Unit, told the court that Mary Deya was arrested on August 8, 2004, on suspicion of child theft where she and two other women’s blood samples were taken. Juma said during the raid at Mary’s home, she claimed that all the seven were her biological children.He further told the court that on August 25, 2004, when he submitted the blood samples of the children, the preacher was not in the country, he lived in the UK. He was deported from in August 2017, adds the Star.A request to have the blood taken from preacher was answered on April 2005 by UK detective sergeant Stephen Ward who sent DNA profiling of the accused to Serious Crime Unit at DCI headquarters.Archbishop Deya, known for his miracle babies saga, was deported to face child theft charges.
