[Photo|Erick Korir]Nakuru Deputy Governor Erick Korir launched the National Agricultural and Rural Inclusive Growth Project (NARIGP) Western Region at the Milele resort in Nakuru County.The NARIGP is meant to involve three levels; a three-tier institutional arrangement at the national level, county executing agencies and the beneficiaries at community level.During the launch on Wednesday, Korir emphasised on the fact that Nakuru county's economy heavily relied on agriculture for growth and development."At the national level agriculture is central to the achievement of Kenya's vision 2030 of a globally competitive country," he said.He further called for consultative efforts from development partners and county governments in order to increase agricultural productivity and profitability in all counties alike.
