Machakos Deputy Governor Francis Maliti claims the recent workers' protests at Machakos Level Five Hospital were stage managed.
Maliti said the hospital's operations were running smoothly with its stores overflowing with drugs.
He said the facility had a clean environment with satisfied patients.
The deputy governor said the hospital was in order and nothing had gone amiss like the strike placards claimed.
"Today, I have visited the hospital to access the situation following claims that service delivery has been hampered and everything seems in place, nothing amiss," Maliti said.
Maliti addressed the press at the hospital on Friday.
He said the claims that the hospital was on its knees are lies peddled by Governor Alfred Mutua's detractors.
Maliti told politicians to stop politicising provision of services by the governor especially on essentials like health delivery which is very crucial.
"The lengths some people can go to paint the county administration in a bad light are appalling. I call upon people especially politicians to shun politicizing provision of services by Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua's government especially an essential one like health," Maliti said.
He asked residents to learn about focusing on the good deeds done by the Mutua instead of criticising his leadership.
"We care about our people and are committed to ensuring we deliver. Let us see the glass as half full not half empty," Maliti concluded.
On Thursday, health workers from Machakos Level Five Hospital protested decrying poor working conditions at the facility, lack of drugs among other grievances.
