Nyamira County Deputy Governor Amos Nyaribo has announced that Nyamira County government will upgrade all feeder roads in the region to ease transportation.
“All feeder roads in Nyamira County will be opened up and upgraded to ease transportation. Nyamira residents should embrace patience to allow the county government through the ministry of housing and transport to do the road construction works without interference,” he said.
Nyaribo challenged all Nyamira County elected leaders to join hands with the county government to ensure no feeder road in the region is left out.
“I am appealing to all MPs, MCAs and senator Okong’o Omogeni to help the county government to identify the feeder roads which should be opened up and upgraded deep in villages,” he stated.
Nyaribo also asked the national government to expand the narrow main roads not only in Nyamira but across the country to curb accidents.
Nyaribo was speaking on Thursday during a massive church service at Nyamira Primary school grounds for the 9 Nyamira residents who died following a tragic road accident in Narok last week.
