Diaspora supporters of self-styled National Resistance Movement (NRM) Kenya leader Miguna Miguna have come out to show their solidarity with him following his recent tribulations.
The NRM Kenya supporters on Thursday, April 5, were on the streets of London and moved to the front of UK's Parliament to protest against what they termed as violation of human rights by the Kenyan government.
They were armed with huge placards with writings speaking out loud their demonstration message to the world and more especially to the Kenyan authorities.
One of the placards read, "Respect rule of law". Another read, "Government must obey court orders". Others condemned the way Miguna was treated at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) when he returned to Kenya on March 26, 2018 from deportation.
Miguna expressed his gratitude to the diaspora supporters for taking action after the demonstrations.
"The NRMKe soldiers in London, UK are out in full force in front of the UK House of Commons (Parliament), resisting despotic and barbaric violation of human rights. Standaing in solidarity with me.Viva!" he posted on Twitter.
Miguna's citizenship saga is now a topic of heated debate, both locally and abroad, since his first deportation to Canada on February 6, 2018. The lawyer came back to Kenya after seven weeks abroad but his entry into the country was blocked by the Immigration officials after he failed to provide his travel documents.
