Former Nairobi governor aspirant Miguna Miguna has hit out at retired president Daniel Arap Moi for being a dictator.
Miguna was responding to the recent spree of politicians visiting the former head of state for a handshake that targets political blessing.
Whereas politicians argued that they were seeking peace and reconciliation, Miguna said there was no reason why good people should visit such a 'dictator' who must now be arrested and left to die in prison.
"Bankrupt politicians who believe that meeting or shaking hands with a dying dictator is an achievement. Comrades, let's sweep the Kenyan landscape of all these KANU orphans and build a merit-based and just society," he said.
"What is responsible and depraved are those praising a frail bone cracking dictator who murdered thousands of innocent Kenyans, including Dr. Robert Ouko, Alexander Muge, Father Kaiser, Titus Adungosi, and many more. He should die in jail. Not be worshipped. Shame on hypocrites," he added.
Miguna vied for the Nairobi governor post in 2017 and lost to current governor Mike Sonko.
Kibera and other NASA strongholds were heavily behind Raila Odinga and former governor Evans Kidero who was endorsed to fly the ODM and NASA flag in the race.
However, the lawyer has been gaining massive support in the slums and several local businesses are beginning to identify with his brand.
