[Courtesy]The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC), has strongly defended its Commissioner Dr Roselyn Akombe, following reports that she secretly met with President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party lawyer.IEBC dismissed the social media accusations, Wednesday, after a photo alleged to be of a meeting between Akombe and lawyer Evans Monari at a Nairobi hotel, went viral."Akombe is not in a secret meeting. She has been engaged at a commission meeting at Anniversary Towers," IEBC tweeted, and further asked members of the public not not fall victims of propaganda.Monari, who has also dismissed the reports, was part of Kenyatta's legal team, during the 2013 presidential petition.This is the second time Akombe has been accused of secretly meeting with representatives of political parties or politicians.She was at first accused by a section of Jubilee leaders of meeting with NASA leaders secretly, claims she dismissed.
