Outspoken Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has now claimed that Jubilee might have had a had in the recent ODM Party rally that ended in dissary in Migori County.

Speaking on Wednesday at KPA Mbaraki sports club in Mombasa, the ODM Party Deputy Party leader further claimed that there was an assassination attempt on his life.

"The aim is to scare us and confine us to our houses. But I am telling Jubilee that we will not be intimidated and we will venture out and campaign for our party," he said.

He also accused the Jubilee administration of abuse of office for harassing and intimidating Opposition leaders opposed to the government, challenging the Kenyans to vote out the administration during the August polls.

"I have never abused President Uhuru Kenyatta. I have only told him the truth about the lives of Mombasa residents and I will stand by it. I have no apologies to make," he noted.

"I am calling on Kenyans of goodwill to vote out Jubilee government come August 8. I believe life will be better after Jubilee is voted out," he added.

One of the governor's bodyguards suffered gunshot wounds during the botched rally.
