On Monday, President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto graced the launch a Public Information Portal that will give Kenyans access to the development project that the Jubilee administration has delivered over the last four years.

The event, staged at the KICC in Nairobi, filled with pomp and color was attended by the who is who in Kenya business circles and top government officials.

The moderator was NTV journalist Larry Madowo, famous for 'The Trend' show.

It was during the interview segment, where Madowo asked a question that might have been an indirect attack on Mombasa Governor Hassan Ali Joho.

In the interview, Madowo grilled a mama mboga from Embakasi who said she transformed her life after receiving Sh1.5 million from the Youth Fund and a young man from Kibera who also excelled in the furniture business after a boost from the same kitty.

However, it was the question that Madowo asked DP Ruto after interviewing the young carpenter that left many social media users to question the motive behind the question.

"Bwana Ruto he (the young carpenter) went to a technical institution which is something that previously Kenyans looked down upon and sometimes even try and fake a grade just to get into a degree programme," he said.

Over the past few weeks, Joho has been a subject on social media after it was alleged that he faked his KCSE results in a bid to get university admission.

Was it a general statement or Madowo attacked Joho politically? Have your say....
