Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has been accused of beating up his main challenger in the August polls John Mbugua Honest.
Honest claimed Ngunjiri roughed him up during a radio interview at a Nakuru-based radio station.
"We disagreed during the interview after I questioned him about the GDC jobs. He came and beat me up," Honest said.
Ngunjiri has however rubbished the claim as propaganda meant to attract sympathy votes.
The two faced at the Jubilee nominations where Ngunjiri floored Honest. Honest has since jumpedship and is vying as an Independent candidate.Nakuru OCPD Joshua Omukata said police are investigating the claim.
