The Siaya senator has cleared the air on the claims that he could have masterminded the ouster of Ford-Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula.
Orange Democratic Movement senators on Tuesday made their threats true by voting out senator Wetangula on grounds that he was ineffective in discharging his duties.
The Bungoma senator was then replaced by Siaya legislator, James Orengo, as the new minority leader.
The new development in Nasa coalition has been met with criticism by some leaders who believe the Orengo had a hand in the dethrone of Moses Wetangula.
Lugari member of parliament, Ayub Savula, on Tuesday while speaking to radio citizen accused Orengo of spearheading Wetangula's removal from the seat.
"Orengo should not stoop to the level of convening meetings with ODM Senators to have Wetangula ousted to make room for his promotion. He is fully involved in this scheme," claimed Mr. Savula.
However, the Siaya Senator has come out to defend himself from such allegations stating that it was a decision by the ODM senators to be given the Senate role.
"I can tell you as a matter of fact even my presence at the Senate if you go back to the records is very irregular for the moment because of the things have been doing, not for myself but for the coalition. I defend even people in Ford-Kenya in ANC and also in ODM and in Wiper," said the Siaya senator.
"This came about from the senators, they made a decision, I did not call for a Kamukunji or tell the senators that I wanted the sit," Mr. Orengo defended himself.
