[Photo|PSCU]President Uhuru Kenyatta handed a car to 24-year-old Igembe South MP John Mwirigi, Saturday. This followed his promise, that he would buy the first-time lawmaker who vied as an independent candidate, in the August 8 elections, a vehicle, after he campaigned on foot and bicycle, and at times on vehicles offered by villagers."Delivered a car promise to young Igembe South MP John Paul Mwirigi at State Lodge, Sagana," Uhuru said, as PSCU shared photos of the same, with the youthful MP thanking him for the gift.
However curiosity, made some keen (or critics) Kenyans observe that the vehicle, could have been a second hand or an already used car. This was observed from the car's driver side, where it appeared that something had hit the door's section near behind wheel and had some slight scratch. From the below photo, take a keen look of the vehicle, from the MP's back.
The undergraduate student of Education at Mount Kenya University got 76 per cent of the votes cast, succeeding Mithika Linturi who is now the Meru Senator, and succeeding Kiraitu Murungi who sent Peter Munya home, to become the area governor.
