Are you aware that if you spit within a designated bus park or station in Machakos county you are liable to a fine not exceeding Sh50,000 or a term of imprisonment not exceeding 12 months? Well, now you know.

This is among the laws that are contained in the Machakos county omnibus stations and parking bill-2015.

The bill, that was fronted by honourable Felix Ngui, a member of county assembly, seeks to bring order and sanity in the transport sector.

The bill also says where 6 or more persons are waiting to enter a PSV, they should form a queue. It is also an offence to urinate anywhere within the bus station other than the lavatories.

No depositing litter, refuse or garbage anywhere other than the provided litter bins.

No use of abusive language, no shouting or touting while within the designated bus park.
