Ex – presidential candidate Mohammed Dida says Kenya will regain her stability should President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga bolt out of presidential race.
The two political protagonists are set to meet for the third time in as many years and their contest has been labeled to most ‘porous’ by Dida.
And on Monday, Dida said should the two quit the race, the country will forge ahead without unnecessary confrontation.
“The only cure to our porous politics is to have these two individuals bolt out of the race. They have polarized our nation badly,” he said.
“There contest is more of personal than ideological and this will even destabilize our nation. If I were them, I would have made such a decision.”
The country is facing uncertainty over her leadership with the opposition keen to have a number of IEBC officials bungled out of office.
Should the country fail to go for elections within 60 days upon the nullification of presidential elections, Kenya will plunge into an investible constitutional crisis.
