The attack on the former Nairobi Central Business District Association (NCBDA) leaders continues to bring up more debate over the involvement of Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko with city gangs.
As the governor is being linked to the unfortunate attack on the business leaders, former presidential candidate, Abduba Dida said Sonko should apologize to former NCBDA leader Timothy Muriuki.
"Governor Sonko should apologize to Timothy Muriuki for sending goons to beat him up," he said.
Sonko spoke against the claims some individuals had orchestrated the ugly incident with the sole purpose of tainting his reputation. Dida also put across that the controversial governor had vital information on the whereabouts of the goons which he should share with the police.
"He must also avail information to the police regarding the whereabouts of those criminals," he added.
The former presidential candidate also advocated for an investigation to be launched into Sonko's involvement with criminal gangs terrorizing city residents. While linking the governor to the unfortunate attack on the business leaders, Former Presidential Candidate, Abduba Dida said Sonko should apologise to Muriuki.
A group of an unruly youth allegedly sent by Sonko stormed and disrupted a press briefing by NCBDA officials to give a report on the sorry state of affairs in the city. The goons stated that they had credible information the business leaders were planning to tarnish Sonko's name.
