Alliance for Real Change (ARC) presidential candidate Abduba Dida has now called upon the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (Iebc) to take firm charge of the electoral process.
Speaking during a meeting with the commission Monday Dida said the commission seemed to be taking instructions from the two main political parties Jubilee and the National Super Alliance (Nasa) on the way forward after the cancellation of the presidential ballot printing process by the courts last Friday.
"Mr Chairman you have to take charge now.If you want to appeal the ruling go ahead and appeal, if you want to give me the tender to do the printing then go ahead,I can volunteer," he said.
IEBC had invited all the presidential aspirants at the Hilton hotel Monday to deliberate the way forward for the presidential ballot printing process following the Friday incident in which a three-benched judged nullified an earlier tender awarded to Dubai-based Al Ghurair company on grounds that the commission did not observe public participation in its procurement processes.
