Alliance for Real Change leader Abduba Dida has distanced himself from reports that he vowed to support NASA’s Raila Odinga in the repeat presidential polls.
According to Dida, he was misquoted, adding that he never uttered such words.
He said the stories published in a section of the local dailies had caused a lot of anxiety and panic among his supporters.
"I'm not even aware where I said these words. I'm still in shock a lot of people, my friends from Europe, Russian and all over the world have been calling me and currently I am overwhelmed by the number of calls I have to answer," he said as quoted by the Star.
Dida has said that he plans to take legal action since the information has misled his supporters.
On Sunday, reports emerged that Dida had endorsed Raila stating that he has a better chance of defeating President Uhuru Kenyatta.
