Nakuru County Government has embarked on plans to automate and digitise its revenue collection processes.
Member of County Executive in charge of Lands Lucy Kariuki on Thursday announced plans to install Lands Information Management System (LIMS) to ensure all revenue is efficiently collected and accounted for.
"There is need for more innovative digital platforms at the department to help automate and consolidate collection of cess," she said.
Addressing the press at her office, Kariuki said the system would help in spotlighting and correcting service shortcomings.
"The system is aimed at taming corruption, improving efficiency and eliminating cases of missing files. This will enhance our customer service as it will definitely make the retrieval of information become easier,” she added.
The CEC further insisted that it was important to automate revenue collection in all the streams under the department by offering services on the online platform.
