The educationist of Nairobi Institute of Business Studies (NIBS) said that the in the past, the wrong choice of courses has landed students in dilemma .

Speaking today at Thika Campus , Wanyoike said that careful selection of courses is a must if a student wishes to progress and achieve his dreams.

“These fresh candidates should be very cautious when choosing their courses to succeed in future. By choosing the right course is important as it will put a student on the right path of success,” said Wanyoike.

Wanyoike said that most students end up in dismay after taking courses that they are not in tandem with their aspirations .

“I've witnessed dissolution among students who take the wrong courses,” said Wanyoike.

The educationist urged parents and guardians to guide their children in identifying the right courses to ensure they excel. Wanyoike also warned parents against taking their children to colleges that were neither credited nor recognised.

“There has been mushrooming of bogus colleges and parents should be careful in selecting the registered colleges,” said Wanyoike.

The 2014 KCSE results were released yesterday by Cabinet Principal Jacob Kaimenyi and several tertiary colleges are expected to woo students to join them.

She further urged those who failed to join universities to join technical institutions as they offer marketable courses.
