A calamity is expected to affect some parts of Garissa.
The heavy rains that have occurred and still occurring across the country are believed to have caused erosion this resulting in the flooding of the Tana River which runs across Garissa county.
Soil erosion occurring due to the heavy rain gets swept into the River filling the river making it break its banks.
The government has urged the residents to move away from the river during this season of the heavy rains.
The water in the electrical Dams are also expected to be released since it has also been filled by the heavy rains, this causes heavy floodings in the area around the river.
Farmers and other residents have been urged to move away from the river area to where they could be saved and the floodings could not affect them.
