Led by Suna East MP Junet Mohammed on Monday, the leaders cclaimed that NCIC has failed to tame hate speech among some politicians.

They said that the commission continues to tolerate hate mongering among some politicians.

“We are demanding that President Uhuru Kenyatta dissolve the NCIC for failing to act on hate mongers,” said Mohamed during a press briefing at Parliament Buildings on Monday.

The lawmakers claimed that the Jubilee government was allegedly protecting its members who perpetuate hate speech.

“The NCIC has to be dissolved because it has failed miserably on its mandate which is spearheading cohesion and taming hate mongers,” added Kitutu Masaba MP Timothy Bosire.

The ODM chairman said that they will not sit and allow some politicians allied to the ruling Jubilee to incite Kenyans and engage in hate mongering.

The MPs were referring to Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and his Nakuru Town counterpart Kimani Ngunjiri whom they accused of allegedly propagating hate messages.

The two MPs have since been summoned by the NCIC over their alleged hate remarks.

Kuria will appear before the commission on Thursday while Ngunjiri will have a date with the commission on Friday this week.
