Senate security committee wants the Water Resources Management Authority disbanded over the officials' laxity in discharging its mandate over the Solai dam tragedy.

 The committee also recommended the relocation of hundreds of families from Solai farm.

They further demanded that Manskul Patel, the owner of the dam that burst, record a statement concerning the tragedy with relevant authorities.

Through her official facebook account, Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika confirmed they had really visited the area with her Senate committee counterparts.

"The Senate Standing Committee on Security, National Defense and Foreign Affairs of which am a member led by Chairman Senator Yusuf Hajji and with members, Senator Fatuma Dullo and Senator Beatrice Kwamboka has today (May 14) toured the tragedy site to condole the victims and establish what really went wrong,"said the senator.

The committee has blamed the Water Resource Authority Management(WARMA) for abandoning their work and leaving several dams to be build without the appropriate measures.
