Jerusha said cartels planning to divert the funds meant for women, youth and disabled will be dealt with as by the law of law.

"All the four constituencies in Nyamira County will get the funds equally. No region will be favoured or left out because the money comes from the national government to help women, youths and disabled to start small businesses to earn a living. Cartels are advised to keep off the disbursement exercise," she said.

She called on women, youth and disabled to apply to get the funds to help them start small businesses to boost their living standards.

"Once the money will be released, youth groups will be issued with the money to venture into various businesses. No single cent will be misused or misappropriated because anyone found diverting the funds for personal use will not be spared by the law," she noted.

The women representative urged EACC to keep a watch on county officials to arrest those who will engage in corruption.

She was speaking at Bwabene village on Tuesday.
