Secretary General for Orange Democratic Movement, Ababu Namwamba and a number of opposition legislators on Thursday went contrary to a directive supplied by their leaders, rousing suppositions over developing conflict in the opposition.
The secretary general together with members of parliament Manson Nyamweya , Deputy Minority Whip Chris Wamalwa and Olago Oluoch went ahead to sit in a meeting of the joint justice and legal affairs and committee.
On Tuesday, opposition leader Raila Odinga asked Cord lawmakers to desist from contributing in two parliamentary processes attempting to resolve the IEBC stand-off.
"It is clear we support the dialogue within the context of Parliament," said the secretary general.
Namwamba’s commitment to his party has recently been put under inspection by the public after he noticeably missed in the anti-IEBC demonstrations prearranged by his coalition.
The lawmaker came out to clarify that he had taken a paternity leave to nurse his wife and their new-born baby.
However, Namwamba during a television interview referred that he was a principled man who was not subject to sway from any quarters.
"No one forces Ababu to do that which he does not desire to do. I also don't know how to pretend. I say what I mean and mean what I say.’" he said in an earlier interview with Citizen television.
Nonetheless, the Budalangi sub-county electorates representative in parliament maintains that he is still robust in ODM noting that those thinking otherwise were exaggerating their concerns.
