[Photo|COFEK]IEBC lawyer in the presidential election petition, Paul Nyamodi, has strongly defended his client, against claims that the Commission conducted a sham election.Prosecuting his response before seven judges of the Supreme Court, Nyamodi said petitioner, the National Super Alliance (Nasa), did not have evidence to substantiate its case.He dismissed claims by Nasa that hacking took place in the IEBC servers, in favour of President Uhuru Kenyatta, who IEBC declared president-elect.Nyamodi said IEBC had looked in Nasa affidavits, looking for its evidence that there was hacking, but came across none.He told the court room, Monday evening, that Nasa leader Raila Odinga, was ''obsessed'' about hacking, but they failed to provide evidence, therefore basing their case on mere allegations.Nyamodi said the IEBC ICT transmission system was created to convey election results but not to 'generate', as Nasa alleged."Therefore I would request this court to dismiss this petition, because it lacks evidence," said Nyamodi.
