The Wiper Democratic Party has started its process of wiping out members of the party that are allegedly disloyal to party officials and party constitution.
Tuesday saw seven members removed from the party that elected them to their current political seats, in an exercise that took place in Machakos.
Speaking during the wiper delegates meeting, the party’s secretary David Musila stated that the members had been wiped out following several actions each did that was not according to the party’s regulations.
“The wiper nominated a big committee that sat down and deliberated on the removal of several members from the party following their disloyalty to the party or its party officials,” said Musila.
“The first is the majority leader from Machakos County assembly Joshua Mwonga, his counterpart from Makueni County assembly majority leader Francis Mutuku,” added Musila.
Machakos Majority leader is accused of breaking the chapter 6 of the Kenyan constitution, by fighting and disturbing peace during a confrontation at Machakos level five hospital that left property destroyed.
Francis Mutuku of Makueni was wiped out for being in the fore front in the ongoing wrangles and planning to impeach the Deputy Governor of Machakos County.
The wiper committee also ejected five nominated members of County assembly, who are all ladies and include Ruth Ndumi, Nina Kala, Magret Ndalana, Jackline Nziva and Mary Ndinda.
David Musila further stated that the two majority leaders had already been replaced.
“The committee has decided to replace the majority leaders, and the new majority leader of Machakos County assembly is Bensil Mathuku and Jonathan Ndungi, who will be for Makueni County assembly,” said Musila
This comes shortly after the wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka warned the rebellious members that the party would expel them.
