Ward Representatives allied to the Jubilee Party now want former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth to dissolve his National Congress Party.
The Nairobi MCAs have also called on Kenneth to vie for the county’s governor seat come 2017 polls.
Kenneth, who unsuccessfully vied for presidency in 2013, last week said he will vie for governorship in 2017 – in Nairobi, Muranga or Nakuru.
He also said he will support President Uhuru Kenyatta’s second term bid.
"We would like to welcome Peter Kenneth to vie for Nairobi's top most seat because his track record has proven that he can run Nairobi and solve its issues," Ngara MCA Chege Mwaura told the Standard.
Addressing the press on Wednesday in Nairobi, Deputy Minority Leader Chege Ngaruiya urged Kenneth to dissolve his party as a show of his full support for Uhuru.
