A photo of a school child in torn uniform has caused a stir among Kenyans online.
In the photo, a primary school kid puts on a pullover that is torn to the extent that only strings are left.
He also has shoes that also look used.
The photo portrays a stark reality of poverty among Kenyans, and now social media users have been touched by the case.
"Kenyans let's be ready for this challenge. Let's make this boy trend more than Githeri man.#KOT we can help this young boy who's probably our future president. God blessed us to bless others," wrote Felix Kibet, a Twitter user.
Doval Automoti said: "Here we Ontarians and Canadians are all fighting about politics when elsewhere in the world, kids wear school uniforms like this, just happy to be at school."
But another user Arthur Mbugua was angry with the photographer.
"First of all, who took the photo? A school sweater costs about 500 bob. Why use the boy to get RTs?" he said.
The kid is said to be from a poor village, or from the slum areas of Nairobi like Kibera.
