Nyaribari Chache Member of Parliament Richard Tong’i has urged the Gusii community to ditch the opposition and align itself with Jubilee and support the reelection of Uhuru Kenyatta and directly benefit from more state projects.
Speaking at a live televised event from Nakuru state house on Wednesday the MP said it was in the best interest of Gusii community to shift alliances and work closely with the ruling coalition as the oppositions led NASA won’t deliver anything to the region.
“We are people who love development and we cannot find it if we support the opposition and its high time the residents make up their mind to support Jubilee” he added
He said staying out of government was to blame for the slow paced development of the opposition-leaning region which he said still lagged behind the rest of Kenya over 53 years since the country attained self-rule.
“If we support and work with President Kenyatta’s administration, we will be better positioned to reap state benefits and pave way for socio-economic transformation of Gusii counties," he added.
