The Jubilee camp in Mombasa is in a state of disarray as more divisions continue to rock the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led party following Deputy President William Ruto's recent decision.Ruto on Friday appointed Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala as President Uhuru's chief campaigner in the Coast region ahead of the repeat presidential poll.Balala will be taking over from Suleiman Shahbal, who unsuccessfully ran for the Mombasa gubernatorial seat.On Sunday, a faction of party leaders led by Jubilee Mombasa chairman Matano Chengo disowned Balala, saying they recognize Shahbal as their leader. However, the wrangling took a new twist on Monday with another faction emerging in support of Balala. The new group claimed they do not recognize Chengo, whom they accused of being Shahbal's 'flower girl', the Star reports."We are in support of working under Balala. People who issue personal statements through the media should stop,” said Abdulsalam Kassim, who lost in the Mombasa senator race.On his part, Warda Ahmed said they will ‘deal with people’ who give personal opinions on behalf of the party, adding that they are fully in support of DP Ruto's decision to replace Shahbal.
