Liverpool striker Divock Origi has sent a shout out to a Kenyan matatu bearing his image.
The football star took to Twitter and thanked his Kenyan fans for being proud of him.
He wrote, “Asanteni sana kwa mafans wangu wote Kenya na especially wale wamemake this cool art.makes feel proud of my roots. Tuko pamoja na Godbless!” - (Thank you to all my Kenyan fans, especially to the ones that made this! I truly appreciate this and I am proud to be a Kenyan!)
This is not the first time Kenyan matatus are receiving international recognition.
Last year, Prison Break actor Robert Knepper (T-Bag), hailed a Kitengela route matatu named after him.
American singer Trey Songz was also pictured riding inside a Rongai matatu when he was in the country for the Coke Studio extravaganza.
