Muturi said it was worrying to see MPs turned into Mpesa shops to the extent that they could not concentrate on their legislative duties.
"It is worrying that the electorate today looks at their representatives as Mpesa shops where money can be gotten at will," he told NTV.
The former Siakago lawmaker added that the electorate has sufficient time to communicate with their representatives and warned against those who infringe on the House business time which runs from 2pm to 6pm.
"We want legislators to concentrate on the important house business not answering calls from the electorate during business hours," he said.
Muturi averred that MPs had a role to legislate and oversight and not to finance people.
