Nyaribari Masaba MP, Elijah Moindi has regretted that members of the public only accused MPs for presiding over ills affecting the management and administration of the CDF funds, yet they contribute to such ills through electing people with questionable track records to manage public funds channeled to the grassroots through the CDF kitty.

Speaking in Kisii town after attending a public hearing meeting on the Review of the CDF Act at Kisii Culture Hall, Moindi challenged members of the public to vet all those aspiring to be elected as CDF committee members, to avert electing corrupt individuals to manage public funds.

“I am challenging members of the public to exercise caution and thoroughly vet all those aspiring to be elected as members and officials of the CDF committees, to ensure it is only credible and people of integrity, who join such committees to protect public funds from being embezzled through shady deals,” stated Moindi.

The Legislator, who is also a member of the CDF select committee in the National Assembly, challenged members of the public to volunteer credible information and evidence linking CDF officials to corruption and swindling of public funds from the kitty to the relevant investigations agencies for action.
