Speaking after flagging off the National games for the disabled children from all the counties, Nakuru county director of Education Isaac Atebe said children with disabilities are often deemed a curse and their parents deny them access to education and health care leaving them at a far greater disadvantage through out their lives.

"Enroll the children in various special or integrated schools across the Country for quality education and helping the country to move forward," he said.

Nakuru East Deputy County Commissioner(DCC) Omar Salat commended the move saying it will help in driving forward the ongoing campaign in Nakuru against stigma on disability as they create awareness among the parents.
