Catholic Diocese of Nakuru Bishop Maurice Muhatia Makumba has warned leaders against oppressing the less fortunate in the society.
Speaking during his Sunday sermon mass at St Daniel Comboni Hekima, Muhatia said people are being oppressed leading to hopelessness.
"The widow in the bible represents those who have been oppressed in the society whereas the judge in the bible represents those who are corrupt in the society. The two met before God and things were different. When corruption meets with humility in the society, it is the norm that corruption will prevail," Muhatia said.
He has insisted on the importance of justice for the oppressed adding that there is need for love to prevail in this country.
"We should always pray because God is a just God," added the Bishop.
