Politicians have been told to keep out politics from insecurity matters and cattle rustling since politics is not the solution.
Speaking on Wednesday at Ikorongo, Kisii -Narok boarder, Rift valley police regional commissioner Wanyama Musambo told politicians to keep off.
“Insecurity is fought by security personnel and not politicians I call upon politicians to stop involving politics in insecurity and cattle rustling matters to promote peace among various communities,” said Musambo.
He also challenged Kisii, Maasai, and Kipsgis communities to live in peace and distance themselves from cattle theft, and grabbing of lands since the two brings clashes and destroy other peoples’ properties.
Musambo called on residents to report to their location chiefs any insecurity matters so that the chiefs can act over the same instead of making noise.
“Let residents join chiefs and police officers to fight insecurity as one way of promoting security and peace,” added Musambo.
