Devolution Cabinet Secretary, Mwangi Kiunjuri has strongly refuted Kiambu governor, William Kabogo’s statements against Deputy President William Ruto becoming president in 2022.
Kiunjiri was speaking at Baricho Boys Secondary School in Kirinyaga County during a prize giving day.
"The governor erred when he asked the Deputy President to produce a power-sharing formula with Mount Kenya in 2022," said Kiunjuri.
Kiunjiri warned Kabogo against trying to turn the people of Central against the DP stating that Ruto worked very hard in getting the Jubilee government to attain power in 2013.
"Ruto did well to us and we must rally behind him in his bid for presidency in 2022," he said.
Kiunjiri urged the people of Central to think for themselves and not be influenced by the governor.
Kabogo was in the limelight last week after stating that the people of Central would not vote for Ruto come 2022 unless he gives out pointers on how he intends to share the power, once attained.
