President Uhuru Kenyatta has asked NASA leader Raila Odinga to spell out what he wants between the presidency and IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati's job.
Speaking in Kakamega on Saturday, Uhuru accused Raila of dwelling on negative politics and propaganda against the IEBC officials instead of traversing the country looking for votes.
He said Raila has been in the forefront in rejecting every commissioner at the agency, adding that there was no way he would become president with that as his strategy.
"Jameni Raila, wewe unatafuta kazi ya urais ama unatafuta kazi ya Chebukati? You cannot have your cake and eat it."
(Seriously Raila, do you want the presidency or you want to be chairman of the IEBC?)
"Wakati tumeapisha bunge kwa upande moja anasema sina haki lakini wajumbe wake wanakuja bunge," he said.
(When we opened parliament, they said I don't have powers to do so yet NASA MPs attend sittings)
Uhuru added that should there be no elections on October 26, he will still continue serving as the President of Kenya.
"Kama hakuna uchaguzi nitaendelea tu mpaka siku wakenya watachagua ..there is no other way."
(If there will be no vote, I will continue until that day when Kenyans will decide who they want to be president)
