The Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentist Union has issued another 16 day strike notice over failure to implement a CBA agreed upon.
The doctors issued the notice accusing the government of failing to implement a CBA agreed upon in march after a 100-day strike.
The union says its members will “decide on the next course of action” if the national government and the counties fail to sign and deposit the two agreement in court by June 14 or within 16 days from May 28.
KMPDU chairman Samuel Oroko said this was the final extension since both parties had agreed that all necessary signatures.
The new deal was supposed to address issues of allowances, trainings and working conditions of doctors and interns would be appended by May 14.
However, both parties on May 11 jointly agreed to extend the signing to May 28.
