Doctors across the Country have reiterated their calls to down tools, December.
The Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Union (KMPDU) Secretary General Ouma Oluga indicated that doctors and nurses in all public health facilities nationwide will kick off a pro-longed strike starting December 5, 2016.
He said this is after the government failed to honor a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) signed in 2013.
The CBA proposed salary hike for the health officers.
The Employment and Labour Relations Court issued a ruling on October 6, 2016, directing that the two parties to sit and produce a negotiated CBA within 90 days.
"We are sounding a warning again, that doctors are not relenting on the earlier 21 days strike notice that we issued early this month. The notice elapses on the December 4th midnight,'' Oluga said, Tuesday.
Addressing the press, he added: ''On the midnight of December 4th, no operations will go on in all public health facilities. Kenyans should be alerted about this. Unless the government implements our agreement, health operations will be paralysed in public health facilities this December. Not even emergency services will be given because their will be no doctor to attend to anyone."
Health Ministry officials met KMPDU officials a week ago to find an agreement to mitigate the strike but the two parties failed to strike a deal.
