Doctors have issued another strike notice over unpaid allowances.

The doctors have given the government until February to resolve the matter.

Speaking at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret, the medics through their Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Union (KMPDU) urged the government to move fast and resolve the matter within the given ultimatum.

Prof. Robert Tenge, a specialist surgeon said though they teach and offer medical services, they have not been paid their dues yet their students are paid better than them.

Among the allowances they want settled is medical risk allowance and on call allowances which they claim was agreed in a CBA by both the government and KMPDU.
