Speaking on Saturday during a press conference, Secretary General of the Union Dr. Ouma Oluga said the union wants Salaries and Remuneration Commission to recognize a collective bargaining agreement as directed by the courts.

“The doctors in this country have been treated to a wind chase because every time we come out, every time we want to engage they take us in circles. This time round there will be no circles,” Oluga said.

“We want to advice the public that on the December 5th, if these salaries are not paid to us, all hospitals in this country will remain closed,” Oluga warned.

Oluga said that the lowest paid doctor should earn Sh342,000 while the highest should be taking home Sh946,000 according to the CBA.
