A middle aged man from Sironga is fighting for his life in a Nyamira Hopsital after his wife poured hot water on him after a domestic quarrel.
According to Patrick Ondicho, the neighbour to the man identified as Frackline Mogaka, they heard the couple quarrel and in a few minutes they had the man shout calling for help.
Mr Ondicho added that upon arriving to the homestead, they found the man crying in pain after being poured water on.
“When we reached at the home we only found the man and the wife had already fled away using the route that is behind their homestead," said Ondicho.
He added that they rushed him to the nearest clinic where he was offered first aid and later on refereed to Nyamira Hospital where he is undergoing treatment.
Mr Ondicho said the two had occasionally quarreled and that was likely the reason why the wife decided to use hot water as a weapon.
The area Elder Peter Nyangwara said the case will be solved after the arrest of the woman.
