Ruthless Modern Coast Rangers thumped MOSCA 2-0 in a National Super League (NSL) match played at Mbaraki Sports on Saturday.
The hosts who were looking for the first win of the season dominated play from the start and their dominance paid off when former Western Stima man Francis Ochola punished the lackluster MOSCA defense on the 20th minute with a fine solo effort to give his side the deserved lead.
Even after taking the lead, Rangers could not slow down as they searched for a second goal that could have put the match beyond their rivals. However, the visitors held with their custodian standing between Rangers and further goals.
After the break, the Mohamed 'Moha' Mchule-coached side picked up from where they left as they continued to trouble the MOSCA overwhelmed back line.
The visitors' torrid outing was compounded in the hour mark when Michael Muya's own goal doubled the host's advantage.
MOSCA's attempt to mount an unlikely comeback was thwarted by Rangers' dominance both defensively and offensively.
The win saw Rangers climb to 6th on the log with 4 points while MOSCA dropped to 14th with just a point.
