Gichana has been held captive in Arusha Main prison over money laundering and fraud with United States keen to have him extradited to face the charges.

On Tuesday, a group of Kenyan delegation led by Musyoka visited Mr. Gichana and is understood to have held talks with high profile delegation from Tanzania over Gichana’s stalemate.

Speaking to the reporter from Tanzania, Job Manani, who represented Gichana’s Kisii family said his relative would be released soon saying the talks were fruitful.

“I want to thank the Tanzanian government for continued cooperation and the Kenyan people led by Musyoka. We have held talks over the unlawful imprisonment of my brother and certainly we are seeing light at the end of the tunnel,” he said.

“We have met high profile Tanzanian delegation and exclusively deliberated on the matter. In a month’s time or so, Gichana will get his freedom back and that is our joy,” he said.

He hailed Cord leadership under the stewardship of Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka for their continued commitment to have Don Bosco released.

“Kalonzo and Raila have really worked hard. As a family, we thank them for their continued support. Hopefully, we are making progress because of their input,” he said.

Odinga through Timothy Bosire during the burial of Gichana’s mother in Kisii had vowed to push for release of the renowned businessman and IT guru
