Youths have been urged to develop a reading culture as one way of promoting literacy in the society.
Speaking to youths yesterday in Molo, Eunice Maina, a don at Egerton University challenged the youths to treat books as resources of transforming their lives.
"Many of our youths believes that Educations ends after one complete college or high school. No, that should not be the case. People should read to gain knowledge which is vital in day to day solutions of problems," said Maina.
He went ahead to challenge youths to participate creatively in development activities and use their time wisely.
The don further appealed to the government to build a public library in town for residents to access books easily.
