An Amani National Congress nominated lawmaker has warned party leader Musalia Mudavadi against parting ways with Raila Odinga.
Nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi said protests by NASA co-principals Mudavadi and Moses Wetang’ula would not be a threat to NASA.
The two leaders have expressed interest in merging their two parties and unite the Luhya nation.
According to Mudavadi, luhya unity will give the community more bargaining power during the next general election.
Speaking during a funds drive in Gul Kagembe village in Rangwe constituency, Osotsi said Raila still wielded great support in western Kenya.
“NASA will remain strong with or without their support,” said Osotsi.
A rift emerged in NASA after Raila reached a unity deal with President Uhuru Kenyatta vowing to work together.
