ODM party leader Raila Odinga on Thursday cautioned Kenyans against being deceived by some leaders into supporting the Jubilee administration.
Raila who spoke in Kwale County at a public rally said the Jubilee government had failed in fulfilling its promises to Kenyans.
"There is nothing Jubilee will bring to you," he said.
"Let them not hoodwink you into supporting them because they have already failed in fulfilling their campaign pledges. The only thing they are looking for now is votes. After elections you will not be part of their plans."
Raila began his three-day tour of the Coast in Kwale County where he was crowned Kaya elder.
He will address rallies in Kwale, Mombasa, Kilifi and Lamu Counties as he unfolds muscle to marshal support for the Cord coalition from a region that overwhelmingly voted for him in 2013.
He tours the region after former ODM Secretary General Ababu Namwamba held meetings with elders and leaders from the four counties constitution Coast.
Namwamba is increasingly becoming Raila's critic after quitting his position as ODM Secretary General.
At the time of his departure, he claimed ODM lacked internal democracy.
The Coastal region is attracting huge political activity as leaders dash to campaign in preparation for the 2017 general election.
President Uhuru Kenyatta is also expected in the region before the end of August to initiate development projects as well as lure voters to support Jubilee.
Current data from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission indicates the four Coastal counties have 1,198,216 registered voters combined.
