Kisii county commissioner Godfrey Kigochi has said bar owners allowing underage children will be arrested.
The commissioner said police will be going round in all clubs to ensure no children are allowed in.
"Club and bar owners are advised to make sure no under 18 is allowed to the premises during the day and night when parties will be done over the festive season. Such entertainment joints will be closed down and owners arrested if found guilty," he stated.
Kigochi asked parents to advise their children to return home early because no one will be allowed to move around past 7 pm.
"Police won't allow children to be moving around past 7 pm on Christmas and boxing day. Parents should ensure their children returns home early than before to help curb immorality cases," he said.
He assured that security will be beefed up and no crime will be given room.
"Anyone intending to commit crime risks arrest and prosecution because courts will be opened on December 27," he noted.
