Photo/Hivisasa.com] A group of elders in Uasin Gishu have criticised residents and aspirants who have dismissed their proposals to have main political seats shared among the county's three regions.Led by the Kalenjin Council of Elders chairman Alex Mursi and Myot Council of Elders patron Mjr (Rtd) John Seii, the elders said they made the proposal after locals asked for their opinion on the matter.Addressing the press at the Eldoret Social Hall after a day-long closed door meeting, the elders insisted their proposal was meant to ensure all regions are represented in the county's leadership."People asked for our opinion on this matter and now that we have said what we think is right they have started questioning it, I think that is foolish," said Seii."We come up with this formula based on our wisdom as elders. That's what we have decided and it will be so," Mursi added, Wednesday. They had proposed that the governor should be picked from the former Eldoret North region, senator from Eldoret East and Women Representative from Eldoret South.Currently all those positions are being held by individuals from the Eldoret North.
